On July 18, 2021, LSSM musicians of all ages performed at one of the most iconic stages in Georgia, the Fox Theatre. This historic and world-famous venue in Atlanta was witness to our students' incredible performances. The evening was made even more special with the presence of our featured artist, Mrs. Yvette Kleckley, renowned for her collaborations with Grammy Award winner, Speech, and her rendition of the National Anthem for the World Champion Braves. The event also marked the debut of our documentary short, "Beyond the Music."
Mrs. Kleckley's stellar accomplishments and our students' exceptional performances made this night at the Fox Theatre a truly memorable experience.
In addition, on April 6, 2022, our students, teachers, and LSSM bands made history at Graceland: the Home of Elvis Presley. Our talented star students delivered breathtaking performances, debuting our student band, Shooting Stars. Our esteemed teacher band captivated the audience with beloved classics. The evening also featured the remarkable Georgia Sensation chorus group, showcasing our Assistant Music Director, Mrs. Karen.
Following this exceptional event, our students and LSSM bands continued to shine at the Tannery at Buford, treating the audience to a mesmerizing display of musical prowess. Each performer received well-deserved certificates of achievement, recognizing their dedication and hard work.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, teachers, supportive parents, and music directors for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The success of this event truly reflects the talent and dedication of our LSSM family. Keep shining brightly - you are all stars!
