In August 2023, the Gwinnett Chamber announced The Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music as the Moxie Award: Outstanding Organization 2023 winner. This distinguished award highlights the remarkable accomplishments of women-owned or women-led businesses, and LSSM has proven to embody this excellence. The ceremony gathered 500 attendees, where seven winners were honored with awards within key categories, and more than one hundred finalists were recognized.
This award recognition was humbling for LSSM Owner, Valencia C. Giles, who started her music studio in her home. Her passion for music education ignited the journey of just 35 eager students to over 1,200 students! Dedicating herself to her love for people, music, and life, Valencia C. Giles has become a role model for youth, women, and businesses. She exemplifies excellence in her leadership; believing that anyone can achieve their dreams if they work hard and stay true to their heart.
